What is SoulFetish?

Founded in late 1999 by famous  French designer Thierry Martino, SoulFetish is a designer brand label specialized in producing casual lifestyle and fashion accessories, décor, apparel and of course,  biker jewelry, also known as gothic silver jewelry or punk jewelry.

Unlike a great many other specialized sterling silver gothic jewelry designers such as Bill Wall Leather, Room 101, Nagual and, Travis Walker, SoulFetish’s line of jewelry doesn’t concentrate only on biker & gothic themes. SoulFetish has conceptualized a wide variety ofdifferent ideas and themes over the years, designing jewelry lines inspired by: Medieval European societies, Harley-Davidson®, Californian bikes, the science of Alchemy, Fantasy comics, Martial arts, African music, Surf culture, Tattoos & Gothic architecture. Notwithanding, the unpredictable & diverse mix of Thierry Martino’s artistic pursuits does not change the fact that Thierry Martino, in his time at SoulFetish, has developed what is arguably the most intricate sterling silver gothic jewelry around. Besides his own SoulFetish label of biker jewelry, Thierry Martino also designs jewelry for Harley-Davidson.

Thierry Martino's Inspiration

Correction. In fact, every single piece of Harley Davidson gothic silver jewelry in existence has been forged and created by Thierry Martino. Experiences with his first 1200 Sportster® in the late 1980's inspired Martino with a deep intuition in relation to biker culture. Beginning with conceptualizing his biker designs on blocks of wax, Martino steadily learnt the craft of sterling silver craftsmanship, which he felt could more impressively enshrine the timelessness of gothic designs than other materials. Also, Martino felt that, the glistening lustre of gothic silver jewelry enhances the highly polished chrome appearance of heavy choppers. As a result of his love affair with biker culture, SoulFetish jewelry always reflects the timeless spirit of biker culture.

Thierry Martino's History

Thierry Martino’s craftsmanship expertise was first cultivated in France, where he spent 5 years (from 1990 to 1995) with renowned jewelry label Reminiscence. After leaving Reminiscence, Thierry Martino began to develop his own concepts, and opened two jewelry boutiques of his own. He was not satisfied. To widen his artistic scope and gain fresh inspiration for his pieces, he travelled Europe & absorbed all he was able to of the continental cultural environment. In 1994, Thierry Martino further honed his skills at France’s “Ecole nationale de bijouterie” in Saumur, where he officially won recognition for his skills as a sterling silver master craftsman.

Armed with the determination to forge a strong business, an unshakeable dedication to a life of art and a passion to see the world, Thierry Martino threw caution to the wind and headed for Asia, where he met his wife, Angkhanang, who inspires Martino’s work and lends a hand in the development of SoulFetish gothic silver jewelry. Armed with extensive experience in costume design for a famous television production house & blessed with the gift of imagination and creativity, Angkhanang has given some of SoulFetish’s sterling silver biker jewelry a feminine edge to reach out to female fans of biker culture. Together, Thierry Martino and Angkhanang form a dynamic duo who shares the same passions in music, art and fashion.
