The Samvel Studios premium label was founded by Samvel Manukian in Summer ‘06. Although the Samvel Studios name is relatively new, the man himself has been a part of the gothic silver jewelry industry for many years. Samvel Manukian first discovered his passion for sterling silver gothic jewelry crafting as a teenager raised in Soviet Armenia, the ancient cultural capital hailed for its expert craftsmanship honed over the course of practice of honoured traditions. After entering the National Academy of fine arts, his attention shifted towards design and upon graduation Samvel Manukian became at first a designer & soon after, an art director of the helm of one of Armenia’s top design and advertising agencies. In 1989, Samvel and his team won a prestigious International design meet held in Vilnius, the culture-rich capital of Lithuania.

During the early ‘90s, Samvel Manukian migrated to the USA with his family and settled in Los Angeles. There, the young Samvel started as a designer for a fine jewelry outfit where he rediscovered his passion for sterling silver jewelry craftsmanship. In 1995, Samvel opened 3D SM: a silver shop specialized in the production of luxury sterling silver gothic jewelry. For many years, Samvel worked with several prestigious design labels such as Star Knights and King Baby to produce gothic silver jewelry. Samvel Manukian’s burning hunger to express himself as an individual through jewelry design without having to be bothered by others’ opinions ultimately prompted him to start his own line in creating an enterprise now widely known as Samvel Studios, which specializes in gothic silver jewelry. Samvel's dedication to the art of gothic jewelry making and the creating of exceptional, eye catching designs places Samvel Studios as one of the hottest new up & coming sterling silver gothic jewelry labels to challenge the likes of Bill Wall Leather and Chrome Hearts.
