About Tigran Sarkisyan

Tigran Sarkisyan is a master of shaping 3-D figurines, in wax, wood or sterling silver jewelry. Tigran’s works amazingly exemplifies motion, drama and intrigue in a subtle manner which never pushes the drama into gaudiness.

Tigran Sarkisyan was born on August 27, 1962 in Yerevan, Armenia. After graduating from high school, he was inducted into the Armenian Polytechnic Institute with a full sponsorship to be educated in architecture, industrial, & civil construction. In 1990, he became a participant of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia Republican Scientific Methodical Center of Folk Art. He did not remain for a long period, considering his desire to visit the world. He came to America in 1991 and later joined art exhibitions & his interest for sculpting became stronger.

Tigran’s effort was soon credited by famous celebrities. He made a necklace suitably called Cleopatra for Elizabeth Taylor. The necklace subsequently debuted in the film Cleopatra, leaving a deep imprint in the cultural history of international film & literature. Tigran also created  a medallion set for Russian Patriarch Alexey the Second, which still is part of the Royal collection as of today.

Following the trend of increasing demand for sterling silver gothic jewelry, Tigran did research into the gothic and rough biker culture, placed himself in it and obtained inspiration for his line of gothic jewelry items, which form a sizable segment of Tigran' jewelry collection Art by Tigran. Tigran was the key artist at SKKIN jewelry (a LA-located jewelry boutique founded by designer Jebron Jouni) and manufactured many of their popular gothic silver jewelry designs. Tigran also started Imperial Rose Collections gothic silver jewelry together with several distinguished partners.

Today, Armenians, Americans, Japanese and other cultural icons from all over the world are donning Tigran’s manufactured jewelry. These icons include famous rock singers & musicians.
